Need to Know … from food writer Dan Clapson: “One of the best tapas restaurants in the city. They've been open for six years and are as on top of their game as they've always been. The room has a great vibe at night and the menu offers a good mix of traditional tapas, as well as a list of other contemporary dishes. Love this spot.”

MasterCard Canada contestant Mike Green says: “While I had been waiting a long time to finally try Bar Isabel in Toronto, my last dinner there (along with their new spot Bar Raval) only solidified in my view the quality of the tapas dishes from Adam Donnelly's kitchen. Along with Toro Bravo in Portland, these three rooms (all of which are on my list) are hands down the best Spanish spots I've had the pleasure of eating at in North America. Everything at Segovia is always executed to perfection, with massive amounts of flavour in every bite, from rustic rice dishes punctuated with octopus and pork cheek, to the ever-evolving croquetas, which are always so creamy and such a perfect start (along with some cava) to any Segovia experience. The laid-back open kitchen combined with the breezy-yet-knowledgable service proves too that you can be a city's best restaurant without having to overdo it with elegance. It's simply the best restaurant in Winnipeg, no questions asked.”
